I have to be honest, when I first saw the color that Pantone had announced for their 2017 color of the year I had a "WTF" moment.
Gracie and Andrew, who are both local school teachers here in Las Vegas, had a wedding day filled with love, plenty of personal touches that represent them as a couple, and rain!
Last year I had the opportunity to participate in the 1st annual Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair at the Springs Preserve. It's the only one of its kind here in Las Vegas - a bridal fair showcasing eco-friendly vendors. I'm not able to participate this year due to scheduling conflicts but I'm so happy that they'll be hosting the 2nd annual Eco-Elegant Bridal Affair this Sunday, May 2nd.
I encourage brides and grooms to stop by and check out the beautiful Springs Preserve as well as meet the wonderful participating eco friendly wedding professionals.
In addition, there will be a silent auction benefiting the American Cancer Society.
Location: Springs Preserve 333 S. Valley View Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevada (on Valley View between U.S. 95/I-515 and Alta Drive)
Date: Sunday, May 2, 2010
Time: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This was our first time at the venue and I have to say that I am in absolute awe of this place!
With multiple wedding ceremony and reception locations as well as catering by Wolfgang Puck, the Springs Preserve is the perfect venue for your green wedding!
The building is made from recycled environmentally friendly materials and only the freshest organic ingredients are used in creating their special catering menus for your special day.
Be on the lookout for the Springs Preserve venue spotlight coming up soon!
Continuing our "Earth Day" celebration for another day, I wanted to feature an environmentally responsible Las Vegas transportation company Earth Limos & Buses. Earth Limos & Buses offers limousines, buses, shuttles, sedans, luxury SUVs, and most importantly party buses! Their fleet of vehicles is run on biodiesel, liquefied petroleum gas and hybrid technology. They are leaders in the industry and who offer excellent service, stylish vehicles, and deserve my applause in providing an alternative means of transportation for the eco-conscious bride and groom.
Join us on an Earth Bus on the Las Vegas Bridal Tour on May 3rd!
Here I go talking about chocolate again…
But this time, I'd like to introduce Theo Chocolate - the first and only organic and Fair Trade chocolate produced in the United States. That is quite an accomplishment! With more and more couples moving in the direction of "green" weddings and events, it is exciting to know that you can get organic chocolate wedding favors and chocolate sculptures for your next event. This is a chocoholic's dream!
If you're in the Seattle, WA area, tours of their factory are available for $6.00 per person. I'll be sure to stop by when I visit Seattle.
