Wedding Stamps for your Wedding Invitations

plane stamp I saw a December 1st blog post from Laura Hooper about her Calligraphy Stamps and I was so eager to write about this on my own blog!

I love the little ways that brides and grooms are personalizing their wedding day.  First impressions definitely count and the wedding invitation is the first item your guests will see which will set the tone of the entire event.

Instead of a boring standard stamp on your wedding invitation envelope, how about either PhotoStamps or a calligraphy stamp from Ms. Laura Hooper?  Laura recently opened an online store on Zazzle.  My personal favorites are the Airplane Save the Date and the Bulldog!  Of course, you can also request custom stamps as well!

Laura also has an Etsy store!

How did you get started in stationery? I was working as a graphic designer for a sports marketing firm for the past 4 years and was getting burned out on the subject matter. As a designer, I was going to be the only one doing my wedding invitations. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to do it for other people. I partnered with my good friend Megan Bildstein, and interior designer and we have been at it ever since.

What did you do prior to this? Graphic Designer

If you didn't create stationery for a living what would you be doing instead? Working as a Designer for a big magazine in New York City

What are some of your hobbies? Gardening, travel, cooking, spending time with my new baby boy and husband

What is your inspiration? Music, the City of Detroit, Peter Max

Name an exotic location you’d like to visit soon. Rome

Why do your clients choose you over some of your competitors? Unique designs, and understand of our clients likes and dislikes, competitive pricing.

Couture Wedding Invitations from Lela New York

lela-ny This gorgeous invitation designed by Lela New York in enclosed in a deep red silk box. Even though it was created using the Chinese heritage and Independence day theme of the bride, the invitation made me think of the new Encore Las Vegas Resort.  Encore has a butterfly motif in the entire resort.

Wouldn't this have been a lovely invitation for a grand opening Encore party for VIPs?

Paper Fetish Event Boutique

At CaterSource, I fell in love with this event stationery from Paper Fetish. Paper Fetish is only available through event planners and producers and not available through your local stationery store or retail outlet. Here are a few samples they had at the show. The "Winter Wonderland" one is my ABSOLUTE favorite. One picture is a little blurry but I never claimed to be a photographer... Anyway, I plan on carrying this line soon.
