My new friend Rachel Clarke of Rachel Clarke Events forwarded an email she received from Urban Daddy about a cool new spot in town that's perfect for bachelorette parties. One of the coolest hotels in Las Vegas, in my opinion, is the Cosmopolitan. It is draping in crystals, has delicious secret pizza, and is exploding with art to include the Artist-in-Residence program, digital art in the lobby, Art-o-mat vending machines which are retired cigarette vending machines dispensing art, and Wallworks, which is all the street art in the parking garage of the Cosmopolitan. Thanks to my husband who holds an art degree, has been collecting street art for years and now runs an urban art gallery in Downtown Las Vegas (yes, shameless plug), I now have a huge appreciate for all kinds of art. So, when the Cosmopolitan opened up, I was in awe of all the (non stuffy) art and of course, all the crystals.
Anyway, this new fun place that opened up last month inside the Cosmopolitan is called the Neapolitan. It is a colorful lounge/bar with hot pink and brown lounge furniture. They serve up spiked ice cream in drink form. That. Is. Genius. A few menu items I've heard about are their frozen Moët mimosas with blood orange juice topped with candied tangerines called "Miss Mossa" and Belvedere martinis with Pop Rocks. Also on the menu is a "Pour Some Sugar On Me" popsicle made with Makers Mark and a "Black and Tan This" which is a liquid nitrogen-charged sorbet made with Bass Ale and Guinness Stout. How absolutely fun and ridiculous. What a great spot for a bachelorette party to cool off and get some fun drinks!
